Jon Kabat-Zinn pioneered Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction a mindfulness practice addressing pain and  life issues difficult to treat in a hospital setting. MBSR uses a combination of mindfulness meditation, body awareness, and yoga to help people cultivate moment-to-moment, non-judgmental awareness
